Dubbo Cricket Competition Update
A note below has come from Junior Secretary Colin Harper.
A pitch inspection will occur at 7am on Saturday morning at Vic park to assess the suitability of the turf pitches. This will be conducted with Dubbo City Council staff.
If all the turf wickets are not playable, then no Under 14’s games will be played.
If Vic Park No. 1 is unavailable then “alternative venues” apply for Under 14’s and Under 13’s games affected.
Please listen to 2DU after 7am on Saturday for games venue update.

12s and 16s had a bye and, unfortunately, we didn't get a chance to catch up with the coach to get a report on 13s.
Enjoy!RSL Colts wins 6th consecutive Whitney Cup.

RSL Colts won its 6th consecutive Whitney Cup with a dominant six wicket victory over South Dubbo. It was the fourth season in a row that RSL Colts and Souths had met in the DDCA 1st Grade Grand Final and, yet again, Colts, who finished the season as minor premiers, had their measure.
Souths won the toss and batted first, but they were soon in trouble at 4 for 22. Souths Captain John Colwell and Matt Finlay resurrected their innings for a while, and at one stage were 7 for 106. The Souths tail wagged and they were all out for 174. In the eight overs left for the day Colts progressed to 1 for 22.
The next day saw a very patient partnership from Brad Cox and Josh Smith. Brad Cox brought up his half century with a six and shortly after, with six runs to win, he cleared the boundary again. Cox finished on 64 not out with Chris Morton making a quick-fire 36 not out. Four of the Colts players have played in the six consecutive title wins, namely Brad Cox, Wes Giddings, Aaron Morris and Chris Morton.
